The single most destructive fire of nineteenth century Dublin hit the city in 1875. In Dublin's Liberties, whiskey blazed and flowed through the streets like lava. Multiple people were killed, the streetscape was changed forever and likewise distilling in Dublin. Guest is Las Fallon, retired Dublin firefighter and historian of the fire service. Las is the author of a new history of the whiskey fire, published by Kilmainham Tales.
